I just finished playing the single player campaign for this game. Kinda mixed feelings, but I feel bad saying any negative things about it because I had so much fun playing it.
Not many weapons, but some of the weapons are freaking awesome, like the granade launcher which lets you kinda "drive" the granade around and explode it, or the gun which gives you like a 3rd person view of the bullet and lets you control where it goes (these 2 guns are only used for a short time during certain parts of the game).
But throughout the whole game you have this time manipulation device which can do a few cool things, it can age enemies to death, it can shoot this ball which slows down time, so if u shoot it at a group of enemies, you can stop time within the spear... age them to death, keep going to the next bad guys. All very entertaining. Like any other game, there's gas barrels, and dry ice tanks you can use to freeze your enemies. There's also a lot of different types of enemies which keeps the game from getting too repetitive.
Oh and you collect items which let you upgrade your TMD weapon, get special abilities, upgrade your other weapons... etc...
Graphics are.... OK. I think the game-play mechanics make up for it.
Story... well... pretty much your an American checking out this old Russian base, the year is 2010... then something happens in the past where the whole future is altered so now Russia is the super power. You get to go back to the past at certain times to recover items, people, data, etc... Saying anything else will spoil the game, but it does have a lot of interesting twists... especially the ending.
Summary? Few but awesome upgradeable weapons, OK graphics, OK story, a variety of different scenes withing the island, didn't play multiplayer but I wouldn't pay to play it either.
7/10.
