Post reviews here! / Singularity

I just finished playing the single player campaign for this game. Kinda mixed feelings, but I feel bad saying any negative things about it because I had so much fun playing it.

Not many weapons, but some of the weapons are freaking awesome, like the granade launcher which lets you kinda "drive" the granade around and explode it, or the gun which gives you like a 3rd person view of the bullet and lets you control where it goes (these 2 guns are only used for a short time during certain parts of the game).

But throughout the whole game you have this time manipulation device which can do a few cool things, it can age enemies to death, it can shoot this ball which slows down time, so if u shoot it at a group of enemies, you can stop time within the spear... age them to death, keep going to the next bad guys. All very entertaining. Like any other game, there's gas barrels, and dry ice tanks you can use to freeze your enemies. There's also a lot of different types of enemies which keeps the game from getting too repetitive.

Oh and you collect items which let you upgrade your TMD weapon, get special abilities, upgrade your other weapons... etc...

Graphics are.... OK. I think the game-play mechanics make up for it.

Story... well... pretty much your an American checking out this old Russian base, the year is 2010... then something happens in the past where the whole future is altered so now Russia is the super power. You get to go back to the past at certain times to recover items, people, data, etc... Saying anything else will spoil the game, but it does have a lot of interesting twists... especially the ending.

Summary? Few but awesome upgradeable weapons, OK graphics, OK story, a variety of different scenes withing the island, didn't play multiplayer but I wouldn't pay to play it either.

General Discussion / 6 MoH Beta Keys (first six people)
« on: July 11, 2010, 10:21:37 AM »
So the first six people to reply (and are seriously going to play) will get a Medal of Honor Multiplayer Beta Key.

I have six already that are completely legit and set to go...
or alternatively you can go to this link

and you will receive one within 60 minutes (i used all 6 of my emails lol)

then you go to this link, submit the key and you will receive the download link and a serial number

The game crashes to the desktop when you get 3+ killstreak when playing as an insurgent, but as far as i know, it seems to happen the most to users with XP dx9, I just upgraded to 7 last night and I havent crashed yet.

The game also gets stuck in chat mode, so dont even try it.

The sensitivity never saves so you always have to adjust it.

Before you start playing, adjust the FOV for a way better experience

and thats it.
oh heres a little video i recorded of me playing,

I got my multiplayer beta key, online play is very fun, only 2 maps so far but its fun. Great graphics and destructible environment (same MP engine as BC2), it is however... quite buggy. Game crashes alot while playing as insurgents, also while trying to bind some keys... and some of the muzzle flash and explosions are... weird looking but nothing that really draws away from the gameplay.

Anyone else has MP beta?

General Discussion / Sports cards...
« on: September 29, 2009, 08:50:34 AM »
Does anyone know anything about these?

So here's the story, my girls father (r.i.p) left her thousands of sports cards, some of them are going for $300 on ebay, there's a set of 12 cards that are made out of silver, 9 signed black and white baseball cards, there are 21 boxes of cards that aren't even open, and 12 boxes of just random cards, about 50 pages of cards (front and back), 10 packets of rookie cards (un-opened), and a signed baseball by ken griffin jr.

Should I sell these on eBay or should I go to one of those card trading places? I don't know much about trading cards so any help would be greatly appreciated, 99% of these cards are mint.

For those wondering where I have been, well... I've been trying to help out my girl with a lot of things, so until she is settled and relaxed, I probably won't be on much but I still come here at least once a day.

It's not using the source engine, instead it has its own custom built engine which has dynamic real-time lighting, bump n normals, particle editor, culling, lua scripting and all that good stuff... woohoooo! will also be ported to linux, os x, and 360.

also despite not using the source engine, it seems that it will be using steamworks.

awesome movie! it's not what i expected at all tho, its pretty funny, there are some good action scenes, some scenes show you how ruthless the nazi's were, other scenes shows you a more humble side of the nazi's. i give it a 9/10.

Other Games / Decadence Mod for HL2
« on: March 28, 2009, 04:53:24 PM »
So I've been checking this mod out for a while now, the mapping in this mod is incredible, and that's really all i have to say about it.

The gameplay is kinda boring, you only get one gun with two different modes (one shoots out something which i still don't know what it does, and the other just bursts a few bullets), and your goal is to hold off a water tower until the bar goes all the way up, and then it switches to another level. The animation is really not all that exciting (hand animations are slow and dull), and the voice acting isn't the greatest unless you like the russians.

Its only 2 vs 2, so... you better hope your partner is good.
