For whatever reason, my left Alt key does not work in games.
I can alt-tab just fine, and when I enable the virtual keyboard, both alt keys light up when I press it.
I have googled this quite a bit, and cannot find anything that works.
For background info, no, Sticky keys is not enabled, and I'm using a Logitech G510 Keyboard, if that helps. I cannot figure this out, and I need the Alt key in games like League of Legends and Starcraft 2.
Please, if anyone can help, it'd be greatly appreciated, and I may send you some cookies or something. lol
A bunch of us are playing BF4 now, and it would be great to get some steady traffic through there.
As is par for the course in multiplayer games, it just works better with a cohesive team, and teams that work well together are hard to get into with games like this.
If anyone would be willing to join up and get some squad support going, that'd be great.
Also, commander ribbons are nigh impossible to get, since most average joes don't accept orders through the commarose.
Figured this would be easier than creating a different post each time I wanted to stream something new.
Dungeons and Dragons
For anyone who doesn't know, I enjoy all types of games, including tabletop games (Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, Rifts, etc.)
I am going to stream a session I will be having tonight at 9:30pm CST (about 40 minutes from now).
I am doing this so you guys can know, if you've ever been curious, or you're just bored, what a DnD session is like. There's a stigma that only the nerdiest of nerds play it (I admit to this to some degree), but it's like playing a roleplaying game where you control everything you do. Not just your skills, but how you act, react, grow, etc.
I will give you fair warning that this is a new group that I am gaming with: had our first session last week, and it wasn't the best of times. The DM (dungeon master for those that don't know) works at a dojo 60+ hours a week and doesn't always have enough time to get the maps and stuff together for our sessions.
I will stream it anyway, however, in the hope that he got a map this week. I will come on here and comment as to whether or not this session is a fair display of what a normal session is like for DnD, so that you know, for those that watch, whether this may be something you'd want to get involved in or just watch for laughs.
I'll always hop into my streaming channel in mumble when I am streaming something (unless it's aram or something laid back), and the comment on my channel is a direct link to my twitch account.
Wish me a good session of dungeon delving, princess saving, and general ruckus-creating.
Planetside 2 with me?
I will most likely be sticking to my New Conglomerate soldier, though I know that frisky and kami both play/like the Terran Republic (I will play TR with you both if you're on, still.)
I am not completely opposed to playing Vanu Sovereignty, however, my VS soldier is still Battlerank 1 I believe.
Let me know if you want to play. I'll be in vent pretty much 24/7 the next ~2 weeks; even if I'm afk, send me a message that you want to play and I'll get back to you when I get back on.
I enjoy PS2 but it is much more fun and manageable playing with at least a couple other people.
Let me know!
Crion and I will be starting new campaigns together in Dungeons and Dragons, 4.0 edition.
We will be using a site called Roll20.net
This site is completely free and has all the applications and whatnot that you need to play a full game; there are some customization things that you can buy, but that's optional and by no means game changing.
I am pretty much brand new to PnP (pen and paper aka tabletop) gaming, though I have played plenty of DDO and the neverwinter games, as well as read all of the DnD books.
Again, the campaigns will be new, and we'll need to find a GM to run the game(s) for us. So this would be a good opportunity for anyone who has entertained the idea of playing DnD to give it a try.
I'll be starting brand new character(s), so we'll be in the same boat.
Anyone with prior PnP gaming experience would be handy. We're looking at Tuesday nights, possibly more, if everyone's schedule will allow it.
I will be finding the game, or perhaps Crion: I'm posting this to simply see who would be interested.
Feel free to ask whatever questions you want, and ask me in vent if you wish. I'll answer all I can.
I laughed so hard at this video.
The game he's playing is so hard, he died like 7 times....IN LEVEL SELECT.
fucking pewdiepie. always makes me laugh
I'm deciding whether to continue my final fantasy spree and play the fourth (heralded to be one of the greatest rpgs of all time by many), or play chrono trigger, also vastly approved of by many gamers.
What do you guys think?
Alright. I have a plethora of single player games to beat. I hear good things about all of them, and I'm having trouble deciding what to play first. I'm a completionist at heart, but I've singled out some games that I really just want to play through for the story: I'm not keen on 100%ing these games. If you have played one of them, or a number of them, I'm looking for honest opinions about how they are.
Are they fun to play? Was the story pretty good? Did the game have something you haven't seen before? Or are they just more of the same for other games? All of these would help. Hell, some of you may have played all of these games, and if you have, great, tell me which one was your favorite!
The games are
Bioshock 1 & 2
F.E.A.R. 1 - 3
Half-Life 2 (episode 1 and 2 included)
Dead Space 1 & 2
lmao. love russell brand.
Just out of curiosity, how would any of you that are playing Guild Wars 2 rate it? Is it everything you've wanted in an MMO? Is there something you'd improve, or something that is completely missing from the game?
Do you like your starting profession? Do you wish you had started something else?
Just a curiosity thread, and perhaps a suggestions box for ArenaNet. haha
Personally, I love the game. I took a couple days to figure out what I wanted to level first, (after creating all the professions). I settled on a guardian, because I thought it would be the most boring. Man, was I wrong. I love the class .
I'm considering playing LOTRO (Lord of the Rings Online) to curb my mmo-fix until GW2 is launched.
I know people are playing APB a lot right now, but I wouldn't mind going through LOTRO with a friend, just to see the story.
I plan on playing a minstrel, no matter what you may decide to play. Admittedly, I will probably cease to play it for a long time until GW2 gets boring; which probably won't be for a while . Let me know if you're interested.
Convincing a friend to try Guild Wars 2? Here are ten reasons PvE players will love GW2:
• *Because Curtis’ ranch isn’t going to save itself.*
No, really. If you’re hanging out in Claypool and Cattleman Curtis runs up shouting that bandits will take over his ranch if you don’t help, he’s not kidding. https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/dynamic-events/
• *Because this is one of the little dragons.* http://www.flickr.com/photos/arenanet/6945989372/#sizes/l/in/photostream/
• *Because that player isn’t coming to steal your kill, he’s coming to make it more epic.*
Cross-profession combos are as easy to create as they are are dangerous. No need to stop, strategize, and debate group dynamics–just go with the flow of battle and enjoy playing with everyone around you! https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/combat/
• *Because dungeons are waiting to bring the pain, and then do it again in a completely different way.* https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/dungeons/
• *Because you don’t have to play through boring stuff to get to the good stuff. We give it to you right out of the gate.*
• *Because you can see how the other half… er, fifth… lives.* All racial zones are open to all players right away, so you can join your friends no matter what race they choose to play.
• *Because everyone loves a big finish.*
Events in GW2 don’t occur in a vacuum, and a series of dynamic events can explode into a final meta event. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151039435764209&set=a.10150612680914209.397012.114036714208&type=1&relevant_count=1
• Because the quaggan are just so cute you want to help them. http://www.arena.net/blog/the-mostly-harmless-quaggan
• *Because it’s so much more than swinging a sword.*
(Or shooting pistols, or firing a flamethrower.) You can cut a swath through the baddies of Tyria, but there’s so much more. Puzzles, trivia, and all manner of non-combat challenges await you all over the world. Keep your eyes open and pay attention to your surroundings–it’s not just window-dressing!
• Because Destiny’s Edge needs you. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Destiny's_Edge
