Other Games / LFG DnD brand new campaign

Crion and I will be starting new campaigns together in Dungeons and Dragons, 4.0 edition.

We will be using a site called Roll20.net

This site is completely free and has all the applications and whatnot that you need to play a full game; there are some customization things that you can buy, but that's optional and by no means game changing.

I am pretty much brand new to PnP (pen and paper aka tabletop) gaming, though I have played plenty of DDO and the neverwinter games, as well as read all of the DnD books.

Again, the campaigns will be new, and we'll need to find a GM to run the game(s) for us. So this would be a good opportunity for anyone who has entertained the idea of playing DnD to give it a try.

I'll be starting brand new character(s), so we'll be in the same boat.

Anyone with prior PnP gaming experience would be handy. We're looking at Tuesday nights, possibly more, if everyone's schedule will allow it.

I will be finding the game, or perhaps Crion: I'm posting this to simply see who would be interested.

Feel free to ask whatever questions you want, and ask me in vent if you wish. I'll answer all I can.

The game he's playing is so hard, he died like 7 times....IN LEVEL SELECT.

Other Games / Final Fantasy IV or Chrono Trigger?

I'm deciding whether to continue my final fantasy spree and play the fourth (heralded to be one of the greatest rpgs of all time by many), or play chrono trigger, also vastly approved of by many gamers.

What do you guys think?

Alright. I have a plethora of single player games to beat. I hear good things about all of them, and I'm having trouble deciding what to play first. I'm a completionist at heart, but I've singled out some games that I really just want to play through for the story: I'm not keen on 100%ing these games. If you have played one of them, or a number of them, I'm looking for honest opinions about how they are.

Are they fun to play? Was the story pretty good? Did the game have something you haven't seen before? Or are they just more of the same for other games? All of these would help. Hell, some of you may have played all of these games, and if you have, great, tell me which one was your favorite!

F.E.A.R. 1 - 3
Half-Life 2 (episode 1 and 2 included)
Dead Space 1 & 2

Guild Wars 2 / GW2 Rating/Gripes?

Just out of curiosity, how would any of you that are playing Guild Wars 2 rate it? Is it everything you've wanted in an MMO? Is there something you'd improve, or something that is completely missing from the game?

Do you like your starting profession? Do you wish you had started something else?

Just a curiosity thread, and perhaps a suggestions box for ArenaNet. haha

Personally, I love the game. I took a couple days to figure out what I wanted to level first, (after creating all the professions). I settled on a guardian, because I thought it would be the most boring. Man, was I wrong. I love the class

Other Games / MMO time waster until 8/25

I'm considering playing LOTRO (Lord of the Rings Online) to curb my mmo-fix until GW2 is launched.

I know people are playing APB a lot right now, but I wouldn't mind going through LOTRO with a friend, just to see the story.

I plan on playing a minstrel, no matter what you may decide to play. Admittedly, I will probably cease to play it for a long time until GW2 gets boring; which probably won't be for a while
